Irony Wins!

34-3, apparently.

As I said at Happy Catholic, I don't even have the heart to trash talk much after such a trouncing.

Ecclesiastes comes to mind, though: There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven; a time for winning, a time for getting whipped....

We'll see what "time" it is when the Vikings take on the so-called Saints, or in Catholic blogland, IC vs. NOLA's Alive and Young! You're next, Paul!

I sob the sobs of the dedicated Cowboys fan. (I had already told my friends that it was all a matter of which team showed ... evidently they felt like leaving their offensive line at home for a nice rest today.)

Oh well, there is always next year. AND now I have someone to root against with the dedication of a true football fan. Go Saints!

It would have been a heck of a game if our team had actually made the trip.

GEAUX SAINTS!!!

Or, if you'd prefer to be Ironic...

...Go Jets!

No, that just doesn't feel right.

Favre and the Vikings are a hard thing for a Packer fan to deal with...I'm waiting to see the Vikings lose to the Jets in the Super Bowl...and then what? Will Favre waver on and on about retiring once again? Will he leave the Vikings leaderless? Will he mow the lawn all summer only to return to the Vikings after the pre-season camp is over, having not experienced the same physical hell as all the other players (well, kickers exempted) or the same bonding? How many of us are wishy-washing in our own "gosh, I'd like to retire, but..." years??

Let's hope that it was the prelude to Favre's beatdown on the bayou! Who dat?!
